Ask on WhatsAppHow do you get there?
Floreal lies along the A1 motorway, about 3 km south of Quatre Bornes and 3 km north of Curepipe. Buses from Curepipe, Quatre Bornes, and Port Louis stop along the main road. Taxis are readily available.
The suburb is spread out and best explored by car or taxi. Walking is pleasant along the quieter residential streets but impractical for covering the whole area.
What are the things to do?
Floreal is known for its artisan scene. The Floreal Square shopping complex houses craft boutiques selling Mauritian textiles, home decor, and art. Domaine Les Pailles, a short drive away, is a nature park set in a former sugar estate with a rum distillery, horse riding, and walking trails.
Browse art galleries and craft shops for locally made souvenirs. Visit Domaine Les Pailles for carriage rides, hiking, and lunch or dinner at its restaurants. The cool highland air makes it ideal for a leisurely afternoon.
