How do you get there?

Midlands is located along the A1 motorway, about 7 km south of Curepipe. Buses from Curepipe, Rose Belle, and Mahébourg serve the area. Taxis can be arranged from Curepipe.

The town is small and walkable. For travel to other parts of the district, buses and taxis are available.

What are the things to do?

The surrounding sugarcane fields and wooded hills define the landscape. The rural countryside offers a glimpse of traditional Mauritian agricultural life away from the coastal resorts.

Countryside walks and photography are the main activities. The back roads through the sugarcane fields are quiet and scenic.
