Vandam

Vandam is a village in Qəbələ District in north-central Azerbaijan, located in the Greater Caucasus foothills about 15 km north of Qabala town. The village sits in a forested valley and is a quiet base for hiking and nature tourism.

Summers are warm (18–26°C), winters cold (0–5°C). Spring and summer are the best seasons.

By Plane

Qabala International Airport (GBB) is about 20 km south.

By Car / Road

From Qabala, drive 15 km north (25 min). A taxi costs 10–12 AZN.

Walkable. Hiking trails start from the village.

• Forest and mountain scenery — The village is surrounded by dense deciduous forest.

• River valley — A clear mountain stream runs through the village.

• Hiking — Trails from Vandam lead into the Greater Caucasus forests. Suitable for day hikes.

• Birdwatching — The forests hold woodpeckers, warblers, and birds of prey.

There is no restaurant in Vandam. Visitors should self-cater or eat in Qabala (15 km south).
