Why visit Bum?

Bum is a village in Qəbələ District in north-central Azerbaijan, located high in the Greater Caucasus foothills about 25 km north of Qabala town. The village is one of the higher settlements in the district, surrounded by dense forest and mountain pastures.

Summers are mild (16–24°C), winters cold with snow (−2 to 5°C). Best visited June–September.

By Plane

Qabala International Airport (GBB) about 30 km south.

By Car / Road

From Qabala, drive 25 km north (40 min). A taxi costs 15–20 AZN. The road may be unpaved in sections; 4WD recommended.

Walkable. Hiking trails from the village lead to higher ridges.
