Yrybucuá is a district in the southeast of San Pedro department, Paraguay, created on October 14, 2002 from territory formerly part of the districts of San Estanislao and Capiibary. It borders Guayaibí to the north, Capiibary to the south, San Estanislao to the west, and Jasy Cañy (in Canindeyú department) to the east. The district covers about 509 km² and has a population of roughly 14,000. The name comes from Guaraní, referring to a place where white vultures ("yryvu ruvicha") were believed to breed.
