Amassoma is a town in southern Bayelsa State, situated on the Niger Delta creeks. It is the headquarters of Southern Ijaw LGA, the largest LGA in Bayelsa. The town is a traditional Ijaw settlement on the waterways of the delta.

Access is primarily by boat. The dry season (November–March) is the best time to visit.
