Ogbia is a town in eastern Bayelsa State, the headquarters of Ogbia LGA. The LGA includes Otuoke, the hometown of former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan (2010–2015), who remains one of Bayelsa's most famous sons. Ogbia town itself is an Ijaw settlement in the Niger Delta region, surrounded by creeks and farmlands.
The dry season (November–March) is the best time to visit.
