Why visit Ramgram?

Ramgram is a municipality in Nawalparasi (West) District, known for the Ramgram Stupa, a large ancient stupa believed to contain relics of the Buddha. It is one of the eight original stupas built after the Buddha's cremation and is an important Buddhist pilgrimage site.

The climate is humid subtropical with hot summers (April–June), a monsoon (June–September), and mild winters (October–February). The best time to visit is October–March.

How do you get there?

By Plane

Bharatpur Airport (BHR) is 40 km east. Taxi from Bharatpur costs Rs 1500–2000.

By Train

No railway.

By Car / Road

Ramgram is on the Mahendra Highway (NH-01), 190 km west of Kathmandu. Buses from Kathmandu, Butwal, and Bharatpur serve the town.
