Why visit Sandhikharka?

Sandhikharka is the district headquarters of Arghakhanchi District, in the hills of Lumbini Province, sitting in a valley between the Argha and Khanchi hills (from which the district's name derives). The municipality was formed in 2014 by merging the Sandhikharka, Wangla, Narapani, Khanchikot, Kimadada, Argha, and Dibharna village development committees. Arghakhanchi District covers about 1,193 km², bordered by Palpa to the east, Gulmi to the north, Kapilvastu to the south, and Pyuthan to the west. Sandhikharka serves as an administrative and market centre for the surrounding rural area.

The climate is subtropical hill climate with warm summers, a monsoon (June–September), and mild winters (October–February). The best time to visit is October–March.
