How do you get there?

Poindimié is about 270 km from Nouméa via the east coast RT1 road, roughly a 3.5-hour drive. Air Calédonie operates flights to Poindimié's small airport. Buses run from Nouméa a few times daily.

A car is essential for exploring the Poindimié area. The town center is walkable. The east coast road runs through town, providing access north and south.
