The nearest airport is Asosa (ASO IATA), 40 km north, with domestic flights from Addis Ababa.

By Car / Road

Bambasi is 40 km south of Asosa on a gravel road (about 1 hour). Minibuses from Asosa run regularly during daylight hours.

Bambasi is small and walkable. Bajajs are available for trips to outlying villages.
