Why visit Mashtoul El Souk?

Mashtoul El Souk (Mashtool El Souk) is a city and markaz in Sharqia Governorate, with a city population of about 81,000 and a wider markaz population of roughly 244,000 as of 2023 estimates. It lies west of 10th of Ramadan City and northwest of Obour, surrounded by agricultural land. The town, originally known simply as Mashtoul, grew historically as a major weekly grain market — accounts describe some three thousand camels a week bringing grain to its souk, alongside numerous mills — and its "El Souk" (the market) suffix reflects that history.
