10th of Ramadan

Ash Sharqīyah, Egypt

Why visit 10th of Ramadan?

10th of Ramadan City is a planned industrial new city in Sharqia Governorate, founded in 1977 as part of Egypt's New Urban Communities program to relieve congestion in Greater Cairo. It sits on the Cairo–Ismailia desert highway, roughly 46 km from Cairo and about 20 km from Bilbeis, and is now one of Egypt's largest industrial hubs — home to thousands of factories spanning electronics, ready-made garments, food processing, plastics, steel, pharmaceuticals, and furniture, with a population in the hundreds of thousands. It is a working industrial and residential city rather than a historic or leisure destination, and it functions as a satellite of Greater Cairo.
