Separadi is a village in Lənkəran District in southeastern Azerbaijan, located inland from the Caspian Sea coast in the foothills of the Talysh Mountains. The area is part of the tea- and citrus-growing belt that defines the Lənkəran region. The village has a small population, and the surrounding landscape is a patchwork of tea plantations, orchards, and forest remnants.

Winters are mild (2–8°C) and summers warm and humid (22–30°C). The wettest months are October–February. Spring is the most scenic season when the tea terraces are bright green.

How do you get there?

By Plane

Lənkəran International Airport (LLK) is about 25 km east. A taxi costs 18–25 AZN.

By Train

Lənkəran station is 22 km east, served by Baku–Astara trains.

By Car / Road

Separadi is about 22 km southwest of Lənkəran on local roads. A taxi from Lənkəran costs 10–15 AZN. The road is sealed but narrow.

The village is walkable. A vehicle is needed for trips to Lənkəran or the coast.

What are the things to do?

  • Talysh Mountain views — Separadi is near the foothills of the Talysh Mountains, with views of forested slopes.

  • Tea plantations — The surrounding hills are covered in tea terraces, especially scenic in the early morning mist.

  • Hiking the foothills — Trails from the village lead into the Talysh Mountains. Good for half-day walks.

  • Tea harvest experience — During May–September, some farmers allow visitors to observe or join the tea plucking.
