Girdani is a village in Lənkəran District in southeastern Azerbaijan, set among the tea- and citrus-growing hills near the Caspian Sea. It lies about 15 km west of Lənkəran city, at the edge of the Hirkan forest zone. The village economy is based on tea cultivation, citrus fruit farming, and small-scale agriculture.

Summers are warm and humid (22–30°C) and winters mild (3–10°C). The rainy season extends from September to March. Spring and autumn offer the most comfortable weather.

By Plane

Lənkəran International Airport (LLK) is about 20 km east. A taxi costs 15–20 AZN.

By Train

Lənkəran railway station is 18 km east of Girdani. Trains from Baku (4 hr) stop here.

By Car / Road

Girdani is about 15 km west of Lənkəran city via local roads. A private car or taxi from Lənkəran costs 8–12 AZN. Marshrutkas from Lənkəran serve villages along this route.

The village is compact and walkable. A car is useful for exploring the surrounding hills.

  • Hirkan forest edge — Girdani sits near the boundary of the Caspian Hyrcanian mixed forests, a UNESCO World Heritage ecosystem. The lush forest is visible from the village outskirts.
