Harf Sufyan

Why visit Harf Sufyan?
Harf Sufyan is a remote district and small town in northern 'Amran Governorate, Yemen, close to the border with Sa'ada Governorate. It lies in the highlands at an elevation of over 2,000 m, surrounded by rugged mountains. The area is sparsely populated and has been significantly affected by Yemen's civil war, particularly as a front line between Houthi forces and the internationally recognised government. Travellers must exercise extreme caution and check security conditions thoroughly before any visit. The climate is cooler than the lowlands, with cold winters and mild summers.
