Why visit Nam Truc?
Nam Trực is a rural district in north-central Nam Định province, part of the low-lying delta region known for intensive agriculture and traditional craft villages. The district capital is the town of Nam Giang. Nam Trực has a strong agricultural economy focused on rice cultivation, with two main rice crops per year, alongside vegetable farming and livestock. It is also known for Thanh Nghĩa village, which produces traditional hand-woven textiles.
The climate is humid subtropical with a hot, rainy season from May to October and a cool, dry season from November to March. The district lies on the flat floodplain of the Red River, making it suitable for cycling exploration.
