Why visit Nghia Hung?
Nghĩa Hưng is a coastal district in southwestern Nam Định province, bordered by the Đáy River and the Gulf of Tonkin. The district capital is the town of Liễu Đề. Nghĩa Hưng's economy combines fishing, aquaculture, salt production, and light industry centred on the Ninh Cơ Industrial Park, which includes shipbuilding and seafood processing. The district has a 20 km coastline with extensive aquaculture ponds and salt fields.
The climate is tropical monsoon with hot, wet summers (May–October) and cool, dry winters (November–March). Coastal storms may affect the area from July to September. The best time to visit is during the dry season for comfortable weather and salt harvesting.
