Why visit Kizildag National Park?

Kızıldağ National Park, established in 1969, spans the Yenişarbademli, Şarkikaraağaç, and Aksu districts of Isparta Province and covers roughly 59,400 hectares along the northern edge of Lake Beyşehir, Turkey's second-largest lake. The park is best known for one of Turkey's oldest and most extensive natural Lebanon cedar forests, with some trees estimated at hundreds of years old, alongside juniper, black pine, fir, and oak. Its main peak reaches about 1,850 m and is most directly accessed from the town of Şarkikaraağaç, either by road or on a roughly one-hour hike, with views over Lake Beyşehir from the top.
