Kovada Lake National Park

Isparta, Turkey

Why visit Kovada Lake National Park?

Kovada Lake National Park, established in 1970, straddles the Eğirdir and Sütçüler districts of southern Isparta Province, about 30 km south of Eğirdir. It is centred on Lake Kovada, a freshwater lake that acts as a natural reservoir receiving overflow from the much larger Lake Eğirdir, surrounded by pine and oak forests. The lake is an important stop for migratory birds, drawing wild geese, ruddy shelducks, herons, and wild ducks. It is part of Turkey's Lakes District and offers a peaceful natural escape.
