Why visit Linnei?

Linnei (林內) is a rural township in eastern Yunlin County, Taiwan, on the north edge of the Jianan Plain at the foot of the mountains, with the Zhuoshui River running through its territory. It is one of only three townships in Yunlin County with mountain landscape, and lies along the migration route of the purple crow butterfly, which passes through on its way north between Maolin and points further up Taiwan's west coast.

The climate is tropical.

By Train

Linnei Station (林內車站) is on the TRA west coast line.

By Car / Road

Linnei is accessible via Provincial Highway 3.

A car is useful for reaching the hillside areas.
