Erlun

Yunlin, Taiwan

Why visit Erlun?

Erlun (二崙) is a rural township in central Yunlin County, Taiwan, known for its agriculture, particularly rice and fruit farming. Its name refers to two connected hills in the area; early settlers came from Jinjiang and Zhao'an in Fujian. The Erlun Police Station, built in 1899 during Japanese rule as the first police station in what was then Tainan Prefecture, has been preserved as a historic building and reopened in 2014 as the Erlun Story House, a local cultural centre.
