Toufen

Toufen (頭份) is a rapidly growing urban town in northern Miaoli County, Taiwan, located near the border with Hsinchu. It is a commercial and industrial centre with a large night market and serves as a transport hub for the region.

The climate is humid subtropical. October to March are the best months.

By Plane

Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) is about 65 km north. A taxi takes about 1 hour and costs around NT$1,500–1,800.

By Train

Toufen Station (頭份車站) is on the TRA west coast line, served by local trains. From Hsinchu Station, the journey takes about 12 minutes (NT$30–40). The nearby Zhunan HSR station provides high-speed access.

By Car / Road

Toufen is accessible via Freeway 1 (Toufen exit). From Hsinchu City, drive south for about 15 minutes.

The town centre is walkable. Local buses, taxis, and YouBike serve the area.
