Yuanli

Yuanli (苑裡) is a coastal town in southern Miaoli County, Taiwan, known for its historic Yuanli Old Street, traditional brick-making industry, and the scenic Yuanli coast. The town has a traditional character with a well-preserved market area.

The climate is humid subtropical. October to March are the best months.

By Plane

Taichung International Airport (RMQ) is about 40 km south. A taxi takes about 40 minutes and costs around NT$900–1,200.

By Train

Yuanli Station (苑裡車站) is on the TRA west coast line. From Miaoli Station, the journey takes about 25 minutes (NT$50–70).

By Car / Road

Yuanli is accessible via Freeway 1 (Yuanli exit) and Provincial Highway 1. From Miaoli City, drive south for about 25 minutes.

The old street and market are walkable. A car is needed for coastal areas.
