Dagupan

Ilocos (Region I), Philippines

Why visit Dagupan?

Dagupan is the economic and educational hub of Pangasinan province, sitting on the banks of the Pantal River near the Lingayen Gulf. Known as the "Bangus Capital of the Philippines," Dagupan is famous for its milkfish (bangus) — the city hosts an annual Bangus Festival every April-May. The city was heavily rebuilt after a destructive 1990 earthquake, giving it a modern appearance. Population is about 175,000.
