About Lingayen

Lingayen is the capital of Pangasinan province, situated on the southern shore of the Lingayen Gulf. It is historically significant as the landing site of General Douglas MacArthur's Allied forces on January 9, 1945, during the liberation of the Philippines from Japanese occupation. The Lingayen Gulf beachfront is a wide, man-made park — the longest beachfront promenade in the Philippines. Population is about 107,000.
