About San Pedro de Ycuamandiyu
San Pedro de Ycuamandiyú is the capital of San Pedro department, located in the eastern region of Paraguay along the Ycuamandiyú River. Founded in 1786 as a Spanish colonial settlement, it has a historic centre with a plaza and church dating from the colonial period. The city is an agricultural service centre for the surrounding cotton, soy, and cattle region. It has a unhurried provincial character. The climate is subtropical; the best time to visit is May–September.
