Jebba

Jebba is a town in Kwara State, straddling the Niger River at a narrow crossing that has made it a strategic transport link for centuries. The Jebba Railway Bridge, a colonial-era steel bridge built in 1915, carries the Lagos–Kano railway across the Niger. Jebba is also the site of the Jebba Hydroelectric Dam, part of the Niger River hydropower scheme. The town's riverside location supports fishing and river transport, and the Jebba market trades in fish, grains, and textiles.
