Lafiagi is a town in Kwara State, the headquarters of Edu local government area. It lies in the fertile Niger River floodplain and is a major rice-growing centre — the Lafiagi rice brand is well known across Nigeria. The town has a large market, a sugar-cane processing industry, and a strong fishing tradition. Lafiagi is the seat of the Etsu Lafiagi, the traditional ruler of the area. The annual Lafiagi Fishing and Cultural Festival celebrates the riverine heritage.

By Plane

Ilorin International Airport (ILR) is about 120 km south-west.

By Car / Road

Lafiagi is on the Ilorin–Mokwa road, about 2 hours north-east of Ilorin. Buses from Ilorin pass through.
