Tulsipur is a municipality in Dang District, located in the Deukhuri Valley of the Inner Terai. It is an important market and administrative centre for the surrounding agricultural region, with a growing population and developing infrastructure.

The climate is humid subtropical with hot summers (April–June), a monsoon (June–September), and mild winters (October–February). The best time to visit is October–March.

How do you get there?

By Plane

Nepalgunj Airport (KEP) is 100 km south-west. Taxi from Nepalgunj costs Rs 3000–4000 (2 hours).

By Train

No railway.

By Car / Road

Tulsipur is on the Mahendra Highway (NH-01), 390 km west of Kathmandu (8–9 hours). Buses from Kathmandu and Nepalgunj serve the town.

Rickshaws and tempos. The town is walkable.
