Belbari is a municipality in Morang District, situated in the eastern Terai near the foothills of the Chure Range. It lies along the Koshi Highway between Biratnagar and the northern hill towns, serving as a market centre for the surrounding agricultural villages. The town is surrounded by fertile farmland and enjoys proximity to several nature reserves.
The climate is humid subtropical with hot summers (April–June), a monsoon season (June–September), and mild winters (October–February). The best time to visit is October through March.

By Plane
Biratnagar Airport (BIR) is 25 km south-east. Taxi costs around Rs 800–1200.
By Train
No train service. Jogbani, India (about 35 km south) is the nearest railhead.
By Car / Road
Belbari is on the Koshi Highway, 25 km north of Biratnagar. Buses from Biratnagar (Rs 100–200, 45 minutes) and Itahari (30 km west) connect regularly.
Rickshaws and tempos are available within town. The flat terrain makes cycling feasible.
