Calebasses

Calebasses is an inland village in the Pamplemousses District, located southeast of Triolet. It is a primarily residential area with some agriculture, named after the calabash gourd. The village has a quiet, local atmosphere away from the coastal tourist areas.

Calebasses is on secondary roads, 3 km southeast of Triolet. Buses from Port Louis and Triolet serve the village regularly. A taxi from Triolet costs around MUR 150.

The village is small and easily explored on foot. Local buses connect to Triolet and Port Louis.
