Mafutseni

Manzini, Eswatini

Why visit Mafutseni?

Mafutseni is a rural locality in southern Manzini Region, located along the MR8 road between Siphofaneni and Nhlangano. It is a dispersed settlement rather than a concentrated town, with homesteads spread across the middleveld landscape of grassy hills and river valleys. The local economy is based on cattle farming and small-scale crop cultivation.

The climate is warm and subtropical. Mafutseni lies in a transitional zone — cooler than the lowveld but warmer than the highveld. The area has no formal tourist infrastructure, making it suitable only for self-sufficient travellers passing through.
