Why visit Lomahasha?

Lomahasha (also spelled Lomahasha) is a small town in the Lubombo region of eastern Eswatini, located near the border with Mozambique. It sits in the Lubombo mountain range, at an elevation of around 600 m, offering views over the surrounding lowveld plains. The town serves as a minor administrative and market centre for the surrounding rural communities. The local economy is based on small-scale agriculture (maize, cotton, citrus) and cross-border trade with Mozambique through the Lomahasha–Namaacha border post.

The climate is subtropical, with hot, humid summers from October to March and mild, dry winters from May to August. The summer rainy season brings frequent afternoon thunderstorms. The best time to visit is during the winter months, when the weather is pleasant and dry.
