Ngomane
Lubombo, Eswatini
Why visit Ngomane?
Ngomane is a rural settlement in the Lubombo region of eastern Eswatini, located south-east of Siteki in the lowveld plains near the South African border. It is named after the Ngomane chieftaincy, one of the traditional Swazi authorities in the region. The area is predominantly agricultural, with smallholder farms growing maize, cotton, and vegetables, alongside cattle grazing on the open lowveld.
The Lubombo region is the hottest part of Eswatini, and Ngomane experiences a subtropical lowveld climate: very hot summers with temperatures often exceeding 38°C, and mild, dry winters. The summer rains fall between November and March. Winter (May to August) is the best time to visit.
