Hlane Royal National Park

Lubombo, Eswatini

Why visit Hlane Royal National Park?

Hlane Royal National Park is Eswatini's largest protected area — a core of 22,000 hectares of lowveld bush that expands to roughly 30,000–33,000 hectares with adjoining buffer zones, in Lubombo. It is best known for hosting four of the Big Five — lion, elephant, white rhino (and black rhino), and leopard — alongside giraffe, zebra, blue wildebeest, kudu, impala, and warthog; buffalo is generally absent from the park. More than 300 bird species have been recorded here. The park is managed as a royal concession under Big Game Parks and offers some of Eswatini's most reliable game viewing.
