Edilli

Edilli is a small village in the Xocavənd District of Azerbaijan, located in the mountainous terrain of the Lesser Caucasus in the Karabakh region. It is one of several rural settlements in the district, traditionally based on agriculture and livestock.

The area was affected by the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and came under Azerbaijani control in 2023. Reconstruction and resettlement efforts are ongoing.

The climate is mild with warm summers and cold, snowy winters. Spring and autumn are the most pleasant seasons.

Edilli is a quiet, remote village with no tourist infrastructure, offering a look at rural life in the Karabakh highlands.

The nearest major airport is Ganja International Airport (GNJ), about 170 km north-west (2.5 hours by car). Official authorisation is required for travel in this region.

By Car / Road

Edilli is reached via local roads from Hadrut or Khankendi. A 4WD vehicle is recommended. Official permission is required.

The village is walkable. A vehicle is needed for reaching more remote areas.
