Caxito
Bengo, Angola
Why visit Caxito?
Caxito is the capital of Bengo Province, located about 60 km northeast of Luanda along the national highway EN-100. It is an administrative and market centre whose recent growth has been fuelled by its position on the main road and rail corridor linking Luanda to the interior provinces of Malanje and beyond. The town has a relaxed, provincial character compared to the capital's chaos, with a busy open-air market and a growing number of services. The climate is tropical with a mild dry season from May to October and a rainy season from November to April.
