Why visit Dande?

Dande is a town in Bengo Province, situated along the Dande River about 50 km northeast of Luanda. It is the administrative seat of the Dande Municipality and sits in a fertile agricultural valley that produces cassava, sweet potatoes, bananas, and vegetables for the Luanda market. The town has a quiet, rural character with a population of roughly 30,000. The river itself is a notable geographical feature, flowing from the interior to the Atlantic at Barra do Dande. The climate follows the coastal pattern: mild and dry from May to October, hot and rainy from November to April.
