Funda

Funda is a small town in Bengo Province, located approximately 25 km east of Caxito on the road and railway line to Malanje. It functions primarily as a railway junction and market town serving the surrounding agricultural area. The town sits at a crossroads where the road from Luanda splits — one branch continues east to Malanje, the other heads north toward Nambuangongo. Funda has a quiet, workaday character with limited services for travellers.

The nearest airport is Quatro de Fevereiro International Airport (LAD) in Luanda, about 85 km west.

By Train

The Luanda Railway (CFL) passes through Funda on the Luanda–Malanje line. Passenger trains stop at Funda station, though services are infrequent (a few times per week). Check the schedule at Luanda's Bungo station.

By Car / Road

From Luanda, take the EN-100 east through Caxito. Funda is about 25 km beyond Caxito on the road to Malanje. The total drive from Luanda is about 85 km and takes 1.5–2 hours. Candongueiros from Luanda and Caxito serve Funda.

Funda is very small and walkable. Motorcycle taxis provide links to outlying villages.
