The district is known for its coffee and fruit production, particularly durian, avocado, and passionfruit, thriving on the fertile basalt soils of the Central Highlands. Krong Nang has a relaxed rural character and is off the main tourist trail.
The climate follows the Central Highlands pattern: a dry season from November to April and a rainy season from May to October.

The nearest airport is Buon Ma Thuot Airport (BMV IATA), about 60 km south. A taxi takes roughly one hour.
By Car / Road
Krong Nang is about 50 km north of Buon Ma Thuot, connected by provincial roads that branch off National Route 14. Buses run from Buon Ma Thuot to the district.
The district centre is walkable. A motorbike is essential for reaching the surrounding farm areas.
