The district lies along National Route 27, the main road connecting Buon Ma Thuot to Da Lat. It is known for its coffee and fruit plantations and is home to a significant Ê-đê ethnic minority population.
The climate features a dry season from November to April and a rainy season from May to October. The elevation provides comfortable temperatures year-round.

The nearest airport is Buon Ma Thuot Airport (BMV IATA), about 50 km north. A taxi takes roughly one hour.
By Car / Road
Krong Pac is about 40 km south of Buon Ma Thuot on National Route 27, making it easily accessible by bus from both Buon Ma Thuot and Da Lat.
The district centre is walkable. Motorbikes are the best way to reach outlying villages and plantations.
