Marmaris

Marmaris is a major resort town in Muğla Province, southwestern Turkey, at the junction of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. With a population of around 50,000 (swelling in summer), it is famous for its natural harbour, castle, long beach promenade, and lively nightlife. The town is surrounded by pine-forested mountains.

The climate is Mediterranean with hot, dry summers and mild winters. Peak season is June to September.

Dalaman Airport (DLM, 95 km east). Havaş shuttles connect to Marmaris.

Marmaris otogar has services from İzmir, Istanbul, and Ankara.

By Sea

Ferries connect Marmaris to Rhodes (Greece, 1 hr).

Dolmuş connect Marmaris to İçmeler, Turunç, and other nearby beaches.
