Why visit Datca?

Datça is a town and peninsula in Muğla Province, southwestern Turkey, at the meeting point of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. With a population of around 10,000, it is a peaceful destination known for its unspoiled bays, olive groves, and relaxed atmosphere. The peninsula is dotted with ancient sites including Knidos, a major Greek city at the peninsula's tip.

The climate is Mediterranean with mild winters and long, warm summers. The best time to visit is May to October. Datça's old town has whitewashed streets and stone houses.

How do you get there?

By Plane

Dalaman Airport (DLM, 150 km east) is the nearest major airport. Alternatively, Bodrum Airport (BJV, 2 hr via ferry).

By Sea

Ferries connect Datça to Bodrum (1 hr) in summer.

By Road

The scenic road from Marmaris (2 hr) passes through beautiful mountain scenery.

Dolmuş run along the peninsula. A car is useful for exploring the numerous coves.
