Shuangxi

Shuangxi (雙溪) is a rural district in eastern New Taipei City, Taiwan, located in a mountain valley. Known for its clean rivers, historic bridges, and scenic hiking trails, it offers a peaceful escape from the city.

The climate is humid subtropical. October to March are the best months.

By Plane

Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA) is about 35 km west. A taxi takes about 50 minutes and costs around NT$1,000–1,300.

By Train

Shuangxi Station (雙溪車站) is on the TRA east coast line. From Taipei, the journey takes about 50 minutes (NT$80–120).

By Car / Road

Shuangxi is accessible via Provincial Highway 2 and County Road 102. From Taipei, drive east for about 50 minutes.

The town is walkable. A car is needed for mountain trails.
