Shenkeng

Shenkeng (深坑) is a district in southern New Taipei City, Taiwan, famous throughout Taiwan for its stinky tofu (臭豆腐). The old street is lined with restaurants and stalls serving deep-fried, steamed, and grilled stinky tofu, attracting food lovers from all over the island.

The climate is humid subtropical. October to March are the best months.

By Plane

Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA) is about 15 km north. A taxi takes about 20 minutes and costs around NT$400–500.

By Train

Shenkeng does not have a TRA station. The nearest station is Taipei Main Station, from which buses serve Shenkeng.

By Car / Road

Shenkeng is accessible via Freeway 3 (Shenkeng exit). From Taipei, drive south for about 20 minutes.

The old street is compact and walkable.
