Vandeikya

Benue, Nigeria

Why visit Vandeikya?

Vandeikya is a town in south-eastern Benue State and the headquarters of Vandeikya Local Government Area, which borders Obudu and Bekwarra (Cross River State) to the east, Ushongo to the north, and Konshisha to the west. The LGA has undulating terrain mostly below 183 m elevation, drained by seasonal rivers including the Aya and the Be; areas closer to the Obudu highlands, such as the Mbaduku and Mbayongo districts, run noticeably cooler than the rest of Benue State. The town is an agricultural centre serving the surrounding Tiv farming communities.

The rainy season runs from April to October.
