Ugba

Benue, Nigeria

Why visit Ugba?

Ugba is a town in northeastern Benue State and the headquarters of Logo Local Government Area, established in December 1996 when it was separated from Katsina-Ala LGA. The area — named for the Logo stream that runs east to west across it — borders Ukum and Katsina-Ala within Benue State and Taraba State to the east. Logo is home to Tiv-speaking communities, dominated by the Ugondo and Gaambe-Tiev groups, and agriculture drives the local economy, with yam, cassava, rice, soybeans, and beniseed the main crops.

The climate is tropical with a rainy season from April to October.
