Bwari is a northern suburb of Abuja, located about 20 km from the city centre along the Abuja–Kaduna road. It is a relatively quiet residential area known for the National Water Resources Institute and the Bwari Area Council headquarters. The area has a mix of planned government estates and traditional village settlements.

How do you get there?

About 30 minutes from central Abuja via the Kubwa–Bwari road. Taxis and keke from the city centre serve Bwari.

Keke NAPEP tricycles are common. The area is spread out, so taxis are useful for longer trips.

What are the things to do?

The Bwari Dam and surrounding hills offer scenic views and picnic spots. The National Water Resources Institute campus is modern and has attractive grounds.
