Paeroa is a town in the Waikato region, located on State Highway 2 approximately 60 km north-east of Hamilton. It is famous as the original source of L&P (Lemon & Paeroa), a New Zealand soft drink, and the giant L&P bottle monument.

Paeroa was founded during the gold mining era. The town has a historic main street and the Ohinemuri River runs through the town. The surrounding area is dairy farming and horticulture.

The nearest major airports are Hamilton (HLZ), approximately 60 km west, and Tauranga (TRG), approximately 40 km north.

By Car / Road

Paeroa is on State Highway 2, about a 45-minute drive north-east of Hamilton. Bus services connect Paeroa to Hamilton and Tauranga.

The town is walkable. A car is needed.
